SVG files are vector geometry that scale to any physical dimension with mathematical precision. PNG files are fixed pixel grids that become blurry and unscannable when enlarged on print presses. Test a production sample on several phones at the intended distance and under the lighting used on site.

There is no universal CMYK recipe for every press, substrate, and workflow. A single black separation can reduce registration problems, but the printer should select ink coverage and trapping for the process. Preserve strong contrast and sharp module edges, then inspect and scan a production proof.

DPI alone does not determine QR print quality. Raster artwork needs enough pixels to reproduce each module sharply at the final size; vector artwork is resolution-independent but can still be printed badly. Confirm module dimensions, quiet zone, scaling, and output settings with the printer, then scan the proof.

QR codes can work on glossy or laminated material, but reflections may hide modules from a camera. Matte finishes are usually more forgiving.
